New 16” Pipeline to RH-67 (Wellhead)
Client: National Petroleum Company (NPC)
Methods: RT
Synergy managed the quality validation for the 16-inch diameter flowline connecting the RH-67 wellhead to the gathering network. In wellhead piping, welds must withstand high-pressure surges and potential vibration, making volumetric integrity the most critical safety factor.
The Technical Execution:
Our team provided specialized radiographic oversight to ensure the pipeline's durability from the wellhead onwards:
* 100% Volumetric Inspection (RT): We performed Radiographic Testing on 100% of the girth welds. This allowed for the detection of internal flaws like root lack of penetration or clusters of porosity that could be aggravated by high-pressure well output.
* Interpretation & Standards: All inspections were conducted according to API 1104 (Welding of Pipelines and Related Facilities), ensuring the line was structurally prepared for the specific stresses of a live petroleum well connection.
The Result:
By providing definitive RT certification for the 16” line, Synergy ensured that NPC could safely commission the RH-67 well. Our rigorous inspection process guaranteed a leak-free connection, protecting the surrounding environment and ensuring the long-term reliability of the well's production flow.
